IV Therapy FAQ

Restoring Nutrition and Balance to the Body

To ensure the proper safety of each patient, make sure appropriate doses and drip rates can be formulated to meet your individual needs, and to make the nurse practitioner aware of any health concerns or underlying conditions, individuals interested and/or seeking IV therapy must first meet with the nurse practitioner and undergo blood work evaluation.  Following the initial workup, a patient may then schedule an IV appointment.

Types of IV Therapies

Alpha-Lipoic Acid

Amino acid supplementation may benefit those whose bodies are lacking in one or more of the essential amino acids. Additional amino acids may be recommended when receiving treatment for diseases such as cancer or while under excessive stress. Other benefits can include muscle function, sports performance, blood glucose levels, and skin conditions.

Myers' Cocktail

Myers' cocktail provides the body with an energy boost using a fast infusion of vitamins and minerals similar to the nutritional IV. This therapy can be effective for patients suffering from the flu, fatigue, colds, and gastric illness.

Nutritional IV Therapy can be effective in treating conditions such as vitamin and mineral deficiencies, chronic fatigue, depression, allergies, and as a supportive therapy during cancer care. The therapy provides a high concentration of nutrients that enables the body to reach high levels of vitamins and minerals not attainable via oral supplements.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C  therapy provides the body with a high dose of Vitamin C. A Vitamin C deficiency can lead to serious medical conditions such as strokes, heart attacks, and cancer.  Generally, Vitamin C, which is a powerful antioxidant, can only be tolerated in small doses orally as it can affect the GI tract. Vitamin C IV Therapy contains a high dose of vitamin C while bypassing the GI irritation. This therapy can be effective in treating medical conditions such as heart disease, immune conditions, and as a supportive therapy during cancer care.

Oxidative therapy is designed to mirror the body's oxidative process using a solution containing pharmaceutical-grade Hydrogen Peroxide. The solution creates a chemical reaction in the body promoting the destruction of viruses, harmful bacteria, parasites, and fungus.

Ozone? Like the atmospheric layer that protects us from the sun's rays? Yes, as the “ozone” layer of our Earth is made up of ozone gas, a colorless gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O3). But did you know is this gas has the medical potential to stop the growth of bacteria, boost your immune system, and disrupt unhealthy processes in your body?  Learn more here.

Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy is designed to reduce the levels of toxic heavy metals in the body.  High levels of toxic metals in the body can be caused by environmental factors such as poor air quality, or even some medical procedures, and can lead to illness and degenerative conditions.  The IV solution contains a synthetic amino acid (EDTA) blended with vitamins and minerals.

DMPS is a synthetic amino acid chelating agent of toxic heavy metals, which forms a water-soluble complex with toxic heavy metals and is believed by many to lead to their removal through the kidneys, liver, and gastrointestinal tract.
